About the November Nightingales

We are a group of families, from around the globe, who are adopting from China. Each of us were DTC (Dossier To China) or had our paperwork logged in (LID) to the Chinese Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) in November of 2006.

This group was created to get to know and support one another as we wait to become forever families with our children in China.

Why do we call ourselves the Nightingales? We took the idea from a poem called The Chinese Nightingale.

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break." ~Chinese proverb

Our main forum for fellowship and discussion is located within the November 2006 LID Yahoo! group. This website is a place to meet other families and view pictures, participate in group projects, and share referral news. Click on a link at the left to browse around! As the red thread represents our connection to children we have yet to meet, it also joins us together on our adventure.
